For the year 2018, Lexus celebrated Lunar New Year with a party exclusively for its guests. The soirée was held in Los Angeles with special guests including William Hung (American Idol), Wong Fu Productions and Jimmy O. Yang. Special guest Kina Grannis wowed the guests with her musical performance.

HBO Asian Pacific American Visionaries is a short film competition sponsored by HBO that provides emerging directors of Asian and/or Pacific Islander descent the opportunity to showcase their work.
Judged by a panel of HBO executives, industry leaders, and fellow APA filmmakers, the competition seeks to identify cinematic storytellers who offer unique perspectives of the Asian Pacific American experience. The theme for the 2018 APA Visionaries Short Film Competition centers around the concept of “home”. Films should explore the meaning of “home” in a creative and innovative way.

MGM-National Harbor was opened in 2016 and continue to be the most successful casino resort in the area. The 23-acre resort in southern Prince George’s County includes restaurants from celebrity chef José Andrés and the Voltaggio brothers; a concert venue roughly 2 1/2 times as large as the 9:30 Club; a Union Market-style food hall; a 24-story hotel; a luxury spa and salon; and a 125,000-square-foot casino packed with slot machines, poker, blackjack and other table games.

Verizon Freestyle 50
Verizon teamed up with music mogul Kevin Liles and mega producer London on da Track to bring back the art of freestyle with the #freestyle50challenge – a nationwide emcee competition. The #freestyle50challenge celebrates the roots of hip hop and the evolution of culture. The winner, Tre Da Kid received a single record deal with 300 Entertainment produced by London on da Track, $10,000 cash and opened for a 300 Entertainment artist on tour.

HBO's The Music of Strangers
HBO’s The Music of Strangers: Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, event was held inside Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall which attracts thousands of visitors daily. The exhibit included large scale displays along with interactive LED display, which activated through a 6 people connection from the floor panels.
This film is from the creators of the Oscar-winning documentary 20 Feet from Stardom and the critically-hailed Best of Enemies, follows an ever-changing lineup of performers drawn from the ensemble’s more than 50 instrumentalists, vocalists, composers, arrangers, visual artists and storytellers as they gather in locations across the world, exploring the ways art can both preserve traditions and shape cultural evolution.

McDonald's B-Boy Royale 4
It began on the streets of NYC and became a global phenomenon. McDonald’s B-Boy Royale, New York City’s largest annual breaking tournament, with eight award-winning crews battling it out for a $5,000 grand prize. The event also featured showcase performances, audience competitions and live music performances. Rock Steady Crew president, Richard ‘Crazy Legs’ Colón served as the lead judge and also presented lifetime achievement award to Grandmixer DXT.
All proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of the New York Tri-State area.

McDonald’s B-Boy Royale 3 took place inside NYU Skirball auditorium and was once again a sold out show. With special guest Michael Chambers and hosts MC Jin and Laura Stylez, this show was a hit and led to an amazing B-Boy 4 the following year.
